Dunga has been sacked as the Brazilian manager after their quarter finals defeat against the Netherlands
Every time Brazil plays in the FIFA World Cup, their fans expects them to reach the finals. But they were knocked out of the quarter finals by Holland and had to exit South Africa earlier than expected. Under Dunga, Brazil won the Copa América in 2007 and the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009.
In the World Cup qualification, Brazil finished top in the CONMEBOL region: one point ahead of Chile and Paraguay. In 2006, Dunga took over the managerial post from Carlos Alberto Parreira and since then has spent four years leading his country.
CBF statement:
"Ending the cycle of work that began in August 2006, and ended with the elimination of Brazil from the World Cup in South Africa, the CBF announces that the technical committee of the national team has been released. The new technical committee will be announced later this month."
