The Netherlands have reached the finals for the first time since 1978 where the Dutch lost to Argentina 3-2.
Holland took the lead in the 18th minute with a screamer from Captain Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Diego Forlan equalized just before half time with a free kick, to take his tally to four in the World Cup.
After the restart former Real Madrid players Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben made it 3-1 to Holland, scoring goals in the 70th and 73rd minute respectively.
