Spain have beaten the Netherlands 1-0 at Soccer City, Johannesburg
Andres Iniesta scored in the 116th minute to give Spain its very first FIFA World Cup finals triumph. Match referee Howard Webb flourished 14 yellow cards and sent off Johnny Heitinga in the 109th minutes, after the Everton defender picked up his second yellow card.
Spain conceded only two goals the entire World Cup campaign and had won four consecutive times with a 1-0 score line.
The Netherlands had around three solid chances to take the lead but did not capitalize and after a scoreless 0-0, it looked like the match was heading to a penalty shootout but Andres Iniesta strike was enough for Spain to be crowned 2010 FIFA World Cup winners.
